Patients will leave our center with lean, toned legs that they can feel proud of!
Who is a Good Candidate For Thigh Liposuction Surgery?
Liposuction surgery can permanently remove fat cells from both the inner and outer thighs.
Ideal candidates for thigh liposuction are:
- Patients with chafing thighs
- Patients who want a thigh gap
- Those with good skin elasticity
- Patients in good health
What To Expect
Before surgery, a consultation must be made. Dr. David Mateo de Acosta will take this time to evaluate your current weight, body proportions, medical history, and skin elasticity. He will also discuss your cosmetic goals for this procedure with you. Depending on the results you would like to achieve, it may be recommended to combine your liposuction surgery with another cosmetic procedure, such as a thigh lift. While liposuction focuses on eliminating stubborn fat, a thigh lift can remove and tighten excess skin for a smooth, sculpted appearance. Dr. David Mateo de Acosta can help you determine if a thigh lift is right for you.
During your thigh liposuction surgery, an incision will be made on the treatment area. Tumescent fluid is injected into the thighs to numb the area and to loosen fat cells. A thin tube, also known as a cannula, is then inserted. Excess fat is suctioned out through the tube, resulting in sculpted, toned thighs.
Thigh Liposuction Recovery
After liposuction, it is imperative that patients stay active. While rigorous exercise should be avoided, light walking can help improve blood flow in the thigh area, thus helping speed up recovery. Patients who undergo thigh liposuction typically recover within two weeks. Side effects may include bruising and swelling.
