The Day Of Your Thigh Lift With Thigh Skin Reduction Consultation
When you come in for your consultation for your thigh lift with thigh skin with, Dr David Mateo de Acosta, he will assess your thigh skin laxity and excess fat. He will design the incision in conjunction with you to achieve the perfect placement of the resulting scars so you obtain the best final result. During your pre-operative appointment with Dr. David Mateo de Acosta before the operation, we will take pictures and show you the planned skin removal to help you fully understand the procedure and the expected results.
Day Of Your Thigh Lift With Skin Reduction Procedure
On the day of your thigh lift with skin reduction, you will arrive at our AAAASF-certified surgery center. Dr. Mateo de Acosta will perform the surgical markings that will serve as a guide to remove the excess skin and thin the areas of your thighs with excess fat.
In our state-of-the-art surgery suite, you will receive intravenous and tumescent anesthesia to ensure your comfort throughout the procedure.
You will wake up in the recovery room with a compression garment which Dr. David Mateo de Acosta recommends you leave in place for the first 48 hrs. You can shower on the second postoperative day and then replace the garment. You will have 1 drain in each of your thighs that will be removed in approximately one to two weeks.
Recovery After Thigh Lift With Skin Reduction
Your thigh lift with skin reduction is an outpatient procedure. You will return home on the day of surgery and will typically come back to our facility the day after the procedure where Dr. David Mateo de Acosta will see you to ensure you are comfortable and address any questions that may have arisen.
You must wear a compression garment day and night for the first four weeks to minimize swelling. Dr. David Mateo de Acosta will also instruct you to sleep with your legs elevated on a few pillows for two weeks to further reduce swelling and promote healing.
