Who is a Good Candidate?

Are not currently breastfeeding and have stopped at least four months before

What to Expect During Your Consultation

Your journey begins with a one-on-one consultation with Dr. David Mateo de Acosta or
Dr. John W. Tyrone. During this appointment, we will review your medical history and
aesthetic goals and your doctor will assess your breasts. We will discuss implant options including size,
type, and placement to develop a personalized surgical plan that is tailored to your body type and desired
results.

The Day of Your Breast Augmentation Surgery

On the day of your surgery, you will arrive at our AAAASF-certified outpatient surgical
facility, where most procedures are performed under IV sedation. Our patients are able to return
home the same day. Both Dr. David Mateo de Acosta and Dr. John W.
Tyrone are dedicated to ensuring your comfort and safety throughout the procedure.

Recovery and Post-Op Care

Following your breast augmentation, you will receive a follow-up call the morning after
your surgery to check on your progress. You will also have your first in-office follow-up appointment within
10 days to ensure everything is healing well and to teach you breast implant massages to
ensure your implants settle in a desired position. Here’s what you can expect during recovery:

Discomfort and swelling for the first couple of weeks.
Wearing a surgical bra to support your breasts and minimize swelling.
Most patients take 3-4 days off from work and daily activities to rest and
recover.
